Greyhawkery Comics: Under #35

Welcome back to another installment of my short story Under. There are only a few pages left in the tale so let's get into it. The deep gnome and Vaelindra's crew got the drop on the shadow dragon Malythrak at first, until he dropped a mean shadow breath weapon on the lair. A dragon is typically at its strongest in his lair, a shadow dragon even more so because in this cloud of clinging darkness he can hide stealthily and take enemies by surprise with little effort (even pesky dwarves and elves). The svirfneblin however, has a trinket that's a callback to near the beginning of the tale. Let's see how this plays out. Enjoy!

Greyhawkery Comics: Under #33

Welcome back to a new installment of my short story, Under. If you are new to this comic, please follow the links below to catch up on the story thus far. When last we saw, the deep gnome returned (at the urging of Vaelindra the elf) to his employer Malythrak the Shadow Dragon who has a certain chest that belongs to Vaelindra's adventuring party. The plucky svirfneblin's long journey from a certain tomb in the Kron Hills to Underhall in the Underdark had netted his crew two full bags of gems. Unfortunately, no thanks to the evil scheme of the drow Sallara, the deep gnome lost all his gems in a chasm. Now all he has to show Malythrak for his effort is a gem hair-tie given to him by Vaelindra. What could go wrong? Enjoy!

Vendui, fellow Underdark explorers! When last we saw the denizens they were ambushed while escorting an elf out of Underhold. Is the dark elf and her minions merely bandits? Or is there more to this meeting? It seems there is some unwritten history between the ladies. You'll see what I mean. Enjoy!

Greyhawkery Comics: Cultists #27

Welcome in brave adventurers. The Cultists of Tharizdun continue to explore the famous dungeons below Maure Castle and it seems the goal of their malign campaign is nearly in sight. Yes, of course this was no random dungeon crawl. These guys are certifiably insane, but they are very good at uncovering lost magical treasures. Welcome back readers! Since I'm waaaay ahead on producing my comics, I'm starting a two-month blitz where I will release two a week. One Cultists and one issue of Under. This will take me through Garycon 2026 in which I'll reassess my release schedule. Greyhawkery Comics: Cultists #23

Happy New Year (in Western Oerik) dear readers! Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Living Greyhawk Campaign was still around it would be on 616 CY. But in this new Cultist timeline we are back in 576 CY era, so heading into 577 CY the disastrous duo is embarking on an adventure path of their own. This first chapter may look familiar to fans of Robert J. Kuntz. Apologies in advance of course, but I think RJK would like the Tharizdun cultist tie-in. Let's see how far they get through this dungeon...enjoy!

Huzzah one and all! Halloween weekend is upon us. Seems a good time for another installment of my short story Under. Check out the links below for the entire tale. When last we saw the denizens they had arrived at the underdark town of Underhold. This part of the story is one long homage to the late Dave Trampier's comic Wormy. Much like Wormy, I am fascinated by a Vault of the Drow-like culture where creatures that are normally considered monsters by above-ground heroes, are the average hard-working citizens down here. Greyhawkery Comics: Under #17

Welcome back dear readers! If you haven't followed my short story series Under then follow the links below to catch up. Those who are old school fans of Dragon Magazine like me will appreciate this next panel. It's a full-page homage to the comic that influenced me the most to do D&D comics. Yes, I am talking about Wormy by the late great Dave Trampier. The issue in question is Dragon #96 from April 1985, where Trampier shows us an "Underdark" town. Wormy and this issue in particular has captivated me for the last 40 years. Now I can rest easy that I have paid my respects to another D&D hero of the past. You are now at the halfway point of the story. There is much more to come as I ramp up the release of Under. Enjoy.
