Howdy Greyfolk! My short story Under rolls on in the Under-Oerth town of Underhold. Going back to the beginning of the story (check the links below), the denizens found some loose magic items in a certain tomb in the Kron Hills. Their goal then, like any other adventuring group on the surface, is to sell off whatever items they don't want to keep. Where do deep gnomes and kuo-toa go to sell off magic? Huzzah one and all! Halloween weekend is upon us. Seems a good time for another installment of my short story Under. Check out the links below for the entire tale. When last we saw the denizens they had arrived at the underdark town of Underhold. This part of the story is one long homage to the late Dave Trampier's comic Wormy. Much like Wormy, I am fascinated by a Vault of the Drow-like culture where creatures that are normally considered monsters by above-ground heroes, are the average hard-working citizens down here. Follow their journey into this otherworldly place and enjoy!

Welcome back dear readers! If you haven't followed my short story series Under then follow the links below to catch up. Those who are old school fans of Dragon Magazine like me will appreciate this next panel. It's a full-page homage to the comic that influenced me the most to do D&D comics. Yes, I am talking about Wormy by the late great Dave Trampier. The issue in question is Dragon #96 from April 1985, where Trampier shows us an "Underdark" town. Wormy and this issue in particular has captivated me for the last 40 years. Now I can rest easy that I have paid my respects to another D&D hero of the past. You are now at the halfway point of the story. There is much more to come as I ramp up the release of Under. Enjoy.

Valkaun is known for many heroic things, including his knack for warfare. When he wasn't calling a barbarian horde, he was usually talking matters into his own hands. Iuz especially hated Valkaun for singlehandedly ending battles. Gotta love D&D...enjoy!

Welcome in, readers! This is the continuation of the Saga of Valkaun Dain, the greatest hero of all my 2E Monty Haul campaign. To read about his previous exploits follow the navigation links below. Anyone who has ran or played D&D, (especially a published adventure module of any edition) knows that a dungeon map in a printed book must conform the dimensions of the page (or a poster). The mightiest mega-dungeons are definitely held to this law of fantasy physics. A side effect of these margined maps is that an experienced dungeoneer like Valkaun here, will start to deduce things even an astute elven mage like his friend Mortellan cannot accept. Valkaun will not be deterred, however. See what I mean. Enjoy!

Today's nugget of evil is from 5E Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. In the monster section, Star Spawn, there is some nasty powers you can give to cultists of elder evils such as Big T. Needless to say, the Cultists will never run out of new powers to exploit on their way to destroying Oerth. Enjoy!

Welcome back Grey-readers! If you are new follow the links below. Just to recap my friend Jayson's character, Valkaun Dain was the epitome of heroes in our 2E campaign. Valkaun's story continues to unfold in this mythical saga. Today's chapter is a formative one because he did get his scale armor through hard work. He would continue to wear this unique armor through much of his career until it was taken away one adventure. Naturally, he had a back-up set of armor but a different color in their museum/armory. Gotta love Monty Hall games!

At any rate tonight's artifact of choice is an obscure classic from the Greyhawk vaults, the Bringer of Doom was first mentioned in AD&D Monster Manual 2 but has had little actual elaboration outside Greyhawk fandom.
